The Society has facts, photos, letters, diaries, town reports, & a multi-volume manuscript, A Pleasant Abiding Place: A History of Greenland, NH, 1635-2000, by father/son team, Paul C. and Paul F. Hughes.
Greenland Historical Society was reestablished in 2017 and continues to build upon collected papers and research undertaken by the first GHS, including the Hughes family, Paul C., Anna Leary, and their son, Paul F. Hughes.
We organize four public programs a year, promote historic preservation, and encourage the teaching of Greenland history in schools.
